The Pilates Foundation UK

The home of Pilates in the UK and recognised training organisation of all of our Pilates teachers. The PILATESfoundation UK Limited is an organisation specialising in teaching Pilates to members of the public and students wanting to train as teachers in the UK. It was founded in 1996 at the same time as gaining a collective trademark for the UK market to prevent the exclusive use of the word 'Pilates' being used and to ensure its ongoing use as a generic term. The European trademark will was officially granted in the summer of 2000.

An organisation with beliefs and values based on high principals, one of the main aims of The PILATESfoundation UK Limited was to develop a common teacher-training standard along with providing a support forum and a continuing education for members, which has now been done.
