Equipment/Special Programmes


Our philosophy of treatment includes a strong commitment to staying on top of the latest developments in the field including the most innovative equipment and exercise techniques. In the clinic each patients programme is individually created utilizing just the right mix of equipment and techniques including some of those listed below. We also support dancers through our Performance Arts Medicine Program and we have a sprung dance floor, mirrors and barres in the rehabilitation gym.


Pilates Method


If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, then you are old; if it is completely flexible at 60, then you are young.
Joe Pilates


Pilates is a method of exercise designed to develop body awareness and core stability and helps our patients correct postural alignment and achieve a balance of strength and flexibility. The specially designed equipment primarily uses resistance against tensional springs in order to isolate and develop specific muscle groups. Through the exercise patients learn to move with maximum efficiency and minimum effort. It is the bridge between rehabilitation and ongoing health and gives our patients the permanent means to maximize their physical potential without risking further injury. Our team of physiotherapists are all Pilates-trained and accredited through the Pilates Foundation UK Limited.




Gyrotonic movements are designed to mobilize and articulate the joints, simultaneously stretching and strengthening the body, increasing range of movement and developing coordination. Unlike most conventional exercise machines that concentrate on linear or isolated patterns of movement, Gyrotonic motions emphasize multiple joint articulation without compression, strengthening ligaments and each attachment. Using key principles of gymnastics, swimming, ballet and yoga, the exercises are performed through spherical awareness and circularity of movement with variable controlled resistance. This system of movement is an excellent adjunct to Pilates. All our teachers are fully Gyrotonic certified.
